My Priorities

  • High-quality education is vital to Indiana’s future, and every child deserves to have the resources and tools they need to succeed. I’ll expand quality childcare and early learning options, strengthen K–12 schools, and build pathways to local careers so our investments in children stay here, preventing talent flight and creating opportunities for every Hoosier.

As your state senator, I’ll work to:

    • Invest in education and our future workforce

    • Expand early childhood education and access to quality childcare

    • Ensure fair and equitable school funding, so that public schools have the funding and support they need to succeed

    • Support teachers with better pay and classroom resources

    • Expand STEM and dual-credit programs, offering more opportunities for hands-on learning and technical training, to give students real choices and control over their educational and career paths

    • Prioritize student mental health and ensure school safety

  • I’ll fight for safe streets, strong schools, and reliable public services by protecting essential funding and ensuring new development pays its fair share, so every neighborhood has stable investment, well-maintained infrastructure and a future where working families aren’t carrying the burden.

At the Indiana Statehouse, I’ll strive to:

    • Prioritize investment in public safety services

    • Champion affordable housing and tax fairness

    • Ensure equitable education funding

    • Help seniors age in place with dignity and home support programs

    • Protect public services and build infrastructure that works for all Hoosiers

  • Indiana families face rising healthcare costs and gaps in coverage that leave seniors, working adults, and low-income residents behind. Every Hoosier deserves quality care, regardless of age, income, or ZIP code. I’ll prioritize accessible, affordable healthcare and put our community’s well-being first. I support expanding access to affordable healthcare through programs like Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, while working toward a system where everyone is covered. No Hoosier should have to choose between getting care and paying their bills. Healthcare is a basic need, not a privilege.

In the State Senate, I’ll fight to:

    • Advocate for policies that control rising healthcare costs and reduce burdens on working families

    • Protect access, especially for our most vulnerable, seniors, working families, and those on Medicaid.

    • Promote mental health and addiction services, ensuring care is available in every neighborhood.

    • Support incentives for primary care, community-based clinics, and telemedicine options

    • Bring transparency and accountability to healthcare funding, protecting patients

  • I support a woman’s freedom to choose, therefore making sure she has access to abortion care, because healthcare decisions should be made by patients and their doctors, not politicians. Indiana’s current laws are too restrictive and have harmed families, and we must act now at the state level to change that.

As a state, we can work to repeal or revise harmful restrictions, restore broader access to reproductive care, protect doctors from political interference, and expand maternal healthcare services so women are not forced to leave Indiana to receive care. This is about restoring trust, protecting personal freedom, and ensuring that every woman has access to safe and timely healthcare.

  • While immigration policy is set at the federal level, states play a critical role in how laws are enforced and how people are treated. I support restructuring state and local enforcement practices to be more humane, accountable, and focused on public safety, ensuring due process and protecting civil rights. We can have safe communities without undermining trust between residents and law enforcement.

I support a pathway to citizenship and expanded protections at the federal level. At the state level, I will work to ensure that immigrant families have access to essential services, legal protections, and the opportunity to contribute fully to our communities. When people feel safe and supported, our workforce, economy, and neighborhoods are stronger.

  • I support legal protections for LGBTQ+ individuals, including access to healthcare and freedom from discrimination. Everyone deserves to live safely and authentically. Equality under the law should be non-negotiable.

  • I strongly support labor unions and the right to collective bargaining. Workers deserve fair wages, safe working conditions, and a real voice on the job. Strong labor protections strengthen families and our broader economy.

  • I support strong climate action and environmental protections that safeguard our air, water, and natural resources. We can grow our economy while being responsible stewards of the environment. This is about protecting both our communities and future generations.

  • I support full legalization of cannabis for both medical and recreational use. Legalization can be paired with responsible regulation, public health safeguards, and economic opportunity. It’s time for Indiana to move forward.
